Gifu Prefecture's Seki City is known as one of the "world's three major blade-producing cities," alongside Solingen in Germany and Sheffield in the United Kingdom.
Since its founding in 1990, Kawakami Coating Studio (Atelier Kawakami) has continuously honed its painting techniques to adorn blades in this very location.
By blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary sensibilities, we transform mere tools into "art that enhances spaces."

In contrast, the high-quality urethane coating we insist on offers a luxurious feel and luster comparable to lacquer, yet features a hard film that is "scratch-resistant." No special maintenance is required.
